Countdown to 2015 Relay for Life begins now; Supporters share importance of dollars raised during annual event
(Seguin) -- Did you know that in Guadalupe County, a total of 522 people are diagnosed annually with cancer? There is also an average of 194 people who die from cancer each year in Guadalupe County.
 
While those statistics might surprise some, they are exactly what help to fuel the support for the annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life event in Guadalupe County. The overnight event is slated for this Saturday, April 25 at the Guadalupe County Rodeo Arena.

STAAR Testing underway; Parents, families encouraged to do their part to keep kids successful


(Seguin) -- STAAR testing continues this week in the state of Texas. Kids including those in the Seguin, Navarro and Marion Independent School Districts will all be looking to fill in the rights answers during the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness.

Seguin ISD P-K/Head Start registration now underway
(Seguin) -- It's time to think about school for the Seguin ISD's youngest students. Beginning today, the Seguin ISD will be hosting its annual registration for its Pre-K program and the federally funded Head Start program. Both operate at the Ball Early Childhood Center.
