Congratulations Seguin ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year Olivia Avitua, Jefferson Avenue Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year Alicia Ellis, Barnes Middle School. 
(Seguin) -- The Seguin ISD has named a pair of educators as it's top district teachers for the 2015-2016 school year.

Park rangers to be in place this summer

(Seguin) -- Seguin's park system will soon welcome a pair of park rangers. Jack Jones, the director of the Seguin Parks and Recreation Department, says the city is expected to launch its park ranger pilot program very soon.

Ullrich’s no-hitter sparks Cubs to Majors Baseball city championship

(Seguin) – Clark Ullrich tossed a no-hitter and struck out 11 of the 15 batters he faced to help the Cubs beat the Pirates 10-0 in the Seguin Little League Majors Baseball city championship game Saturday night at Starcke Park.

Bauer receives Zack L. Williams Memorial Award

(Seguin) - Seguin High School senior-to-be Duncan Bauer (right) received the Zack L. Williams Memorial Award sponsored by Seguin resident Ann Beicker on May 9. Mrs. Beicker and her family have presented the award annually since 1968 to a Seguin High School football player who has exhibited good citizenship and hard work in the classroom and on the field. Seguin head football coach and athletic director Travis Bush (left) was on hand for the presentation of the award, named after diehard Matador football fan Zack Williams, who is Mrs. Beicker's father.
