Record flooding occurs in neighboring San Marcos

 

(San Marcos) -- The City of San Marcos has confirmed at least one fatality in the Memorial Day Weekend floods.

Authorities on Sunday found a man deceased in the northern area of San Marcos. His name has not yet been released. Nearly a dozen people are said to still be missing in and around Hays County.

Holocaust survivor returns to Seguin to share message of hope, tolerance
 
(Seguin) -- A child Holocaust survivor has returned to Seguin for her 11th time. Holocaust survivor, author, and international tolerance speaker, Inge Auerbacher has spent the last few days meeting with students at Navarro Intermediate School. It was the Navarro ISD and Fifth Grade Teacher Lisa Barry who originally reached out to Auerbacher. What started off as a one time visit has now grown into an annual trip and a lasting friendship. That's according to Barry who considers Auerbacher, a special member of her family.
