(Seguin) -- More good news for pedestrian traffic in Seguin. The Seguin City Council Tuesday approved spending $230,000 for three new sidewalk construction projects. The contract was awarded to RL Rohde Construction, which offered the best bid for the projects.More

(Seguin) -- Bragging rights were not the only things on the line during Friday's Guadalupe River Bowl at Matador Stadium. Although Seguin did not win the football game, both schools have plenty to be proud of. The matchup, noted as one of the oldest football rivalries in the state, was also being used as a fundraiser for Rockport -- a community that was hard hit by Hurricane Harvey. More

(Seguin) -- The transfer from an area community college to Texas Lutheran University just got easier and more convenient. That's according to Sarah Story, interim VP for enrollment services and VP for marketing. Story says TLU and the Austin Community College District (ACC) have announced a new partnership agreement. She says starting immediately, eligible ACC students will benefit from a seamless transition to TLU after fulfilling their first two years.More

(Seguin) -- Bragging rights are on the line during Friday night's Guadalupe River Bowl at Matador Stadium. The Seguin High School Matadors will be hosting the New Braunfels Unicorns in one of the oldest football rivalries in the state. It's a game that means a lot to everyone involved, but it may not be the most important aspect of Friday's contest.

TLU goalkeeper Stephanie Barrientos (1) was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after a two-save shutout in Friday’s conference opener against Southwestern.
(Seguin, Austin) – The Texas Lutheran women’s soccer team opened the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule Friday with a 2-0 blanking of Southwestern at Gustafson Field in Seguin before dropping a non-conference match to Concordia Texas, 5-3 in Austin on Sunday.
