Tickets now on sale for annual Wade Busby Memorial Casino Night

(Seguin) -- When it comes to the annual Wade Busby Memorial Casino Night, it appears as though there still isn't another more successful fundraising event in Guadalupe County. Not only has the event in 13 years, raised more than $1.2 million but tickets to the fundraising event are typically sold out days even weeks in advance.
 
Mark Cerda, one of the founding partners for the memorial organization, says he looks forward to again remembering his friend during this year's fundraiser. The event, which also includes live and silent auctions, is scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Columbus Club Hall of Seguin.

(Seguin) --  Let the marching begin! The Seguin High School Band Program is preparing to host its first ever marching contest this Saturday at Matador Stadium. The Seguin Marching Festival is marching contest featuring some of the top bands from this region.

TLU dramatic media space now open for business at Jackson Auditorium; New Performing Arts Center at TLU opens with play ''Fantasticks''

"Fantasticks," the longest running musical in American history will be performed this weekend, and next weekend at TLU.
 
(Seguin) -- Texas Lutheran University is celebrating the completion of its first half of the new Caroline M. Weston Center for the Performing Arts. The performing arts center, adjoining the north and south ends of TLU's Jackson Auditorium, will serve as the new home for the university's Department of Dramatic Media and the School of Music programs.

(Seguin) – The pre-season favorite in the District 26-5A football race visits Matador Stadium tonight as Seguin looks to hand the Dripping Springs Tigers, ranked as high as No. 9 in the various state polls, their first loss of the season.

(Abilene) – Texas Lutheran meets McMurry on the football field for the first time since 2011 Saturday when the Bulldogs and Warhawks square off at Wilford Moore Stadium in Abilene.
