(Seguin) -- If you live in Seguin City Council District 3 or if you just care about the makeup of the Seguin City Council, then you don't want to miss this weekend's Saturday Topic program.
All four candidates vying for the District 3 council seat will be joining us for a look at the important issues in the only local race that will appear on the general election ballot, on November 7. The candidates include Jeremiah Arevalo, Dennis Estes, Jim Green and Jim Lievens. Early voting in the District 3 race begins Monday.

(Seguin) -- Downtown Seguin will all be about the kids this weekend. Connections Individual and Family Services is inviting Seguin's youngest children to its 9th Annual Kids Day in the Park.
Arthur Seago, development director for Connections, says the event is hosted each year to celebrate children while also providing their families an opportunity to learn more about the many services offered by local agencies and businesses.

(Seguin) -- Pumpkins and puppies will all be available for the pickin' at the First United Methodist Church pumpkin patch. Special blessings will also be bestowed upon all local animals and pets in the community. Plans are in place for the second annual Blessing of the Animals & Pumpkins and Puppies at FUMC. Helping to host the event by bringing some furry friends -- available for adoption -- is the Seguin Animal Services.

TLU sophomore Ian Leslie became the fifth Bulldog to top 100 rushing yards in a single game this season with 148 in last Saturday’s win at East Texas Baptist.
