The Seguin Coliseum will definitely come into play if wet weather puts a damper on traditional door to door trick or treating. In fact, the Seguin Police Department's annual Halloween Safe House at the Coliseum was initially designed to take kids off the streets and into a more secured safer environment.More

(Seguin) -- The Guadalupe County United Way is even more "united" as the various organizations it serves recently gathered together in downtown Seguin to help publicly launch this new year of giving.
Among those thanking the United Way for its continued effort to support local non-profits was Seguin Mayor Don Keil. Keil says by the community and businesses giving to the United Way, a number of groups in Seguin are able to operate their programs.More

(Seguin) -- Seguin Fire officials continue to investigate why an 18-wheeler caught fire Sunday afternoon near the Niagara plant.
The fire was reported around 3 p.m. on Eighth Street. Seguin Fire Chief Dale Skinner says the driver was reportedly out of the big rig before the fire sparked.More

(Seguin) -- Guadalupe County is introducing its newest member of royalty. Taylor Maberry, of Marion, has been crowned as the new 2017 Pecan Queen. Maberry will represent not only the county but also the Texas Agricultural and Heritage Center and Pecan Museum of Texas.More
