Sunrise Lions, local church join together to host Christmas Tree Festival

(Seguin) -- Santa will be making a special visit to a local tree lot this weekend. Santa has been invited to smile for the camera at the Seguin Sunrise Lions tree lot located at the corner of King and Walnut Streets. Lion Suzanne Sanders says the group is not only excited about welcoming Santa this year but also hosting the event in conjunction with The First Presbyterian Church's Christmas Tree Festival. She says with the lot sitting on church property, it just made sense to host the special event.

Local homes, properties open doors this Saturday for annual Holiday Tour of Homes

(Seguin) -- Do you ever pass by a home and imagine what the inside of that home looks like? We'll you no longer have to play the guessing game. That's because the doors to some of Seguin's historic homes and properties will open up this Saturday during the Seguin Conservation Society's annual Holiday Heritage Tour of Homes.

Seguin gears up for largest holiday night parade; Downtown events to feature lighted parade, additional lighting in Central Park

(Seguin) -- The city is preparing to host its largest ever Lighted Holiday Stroll Parade in Downtown Seguin. That's according to Chandra Jobb, the recreation superintendent for the city's parks and recreation department. Jobb says the city is overwhelmed by the number of float entries and is thrilled to have so many groups, churches and local businesses participate.

(San Antonio) – Navarro vs. Cuero has become an annual tradition in the UIL football playoffs over the past half-decade, and the series continues for the fifth straight season tonight when the Panthers and Gobblers square off in the 4A Division II Region IV semifinals at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio.

(Tyler) – The University of Texas at Tyler out-scored Texas Lutheran 53-29 in the second half to register an 84-65 non-conference men’s basketball win Tuesday night at the UT Tyler Herrington Patriot Center.
