Guadalupe County Sheriff's Deputies embrace new looks for good cause

(Seguin) -- Although they didn't give Santa a run for his money, several folks still managed to come in a close second during this year's Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office "No Shave November" contest. Cpl. Donny White, who coordinated the effort, says the contest which ran a bit longer than just November again helped to generate some much needed funding for the Guadalupe Regional Medical Foundation and those fighting cancer.

ARF to host second low cost rabies vaccination clinic of the year this Thursday

(Seguin) -- A local group hopes to end the year by protecting even more dogs and cats. The Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) will be hosting a rabies shot clinic this Thursday at Seguin's Max Starcke Park.

San Marcos Officer Killed While Serving Warrant

(San Marcos)  --  A San Marcos police officer is dead after being shot in the line of duty. 
 
San Marcos Police Chief Chase Stapp says the suspect shot officer Kenneth Copeland multiple times in an ambush style attack yesterday.  Chief Stapp says officer Copeland was working on what was his day off when he attempted to serve a warrant.

Candidate seeks Guadalupe County District Clerk position

(Seguin) -- A long-time Guadalupe County resident wants to be the next District Clerk. Kristy Dunn, has officially filed for a place on the ballot for the March Republican Primary.

Longoria named 1st Team Academic All-District, advances to national ballot

(Seguin) – Texas Lutheran sophomore defensive end Manny Longoria is headed to the Academic All-America national ballot after being named to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® 8 Football Team.
