The island, which still remains a secret to many in Seguin, can be found nestled in mid waters of Lake Dunlap located off of Lee Street near CMC Steel Texas.

(Seguin) -- A hand-full of Seguin's finest were recently recognized for going above and beyond the call of duty. The Seguin Police Department is announcing some special awards presented at this year's 2017 Employee Awards Banquet.  Staci Sanchez was named Civilian of the Year, Officer Steven Trinidad received Rookie of the Year, Cpl. Michael Guerra was named Supervisor of the Year, and the Officer of the Year Award went to Brandon Torres.

Christmas Angel contest deadline arrives

(Seguin) -- The Christmas Angel today is hoping to pull in those last minute letters. Today is the deadline for the KWED Christmas Angel contest. All month long, the Christmas Angel has been encouraging kids 18 and under to submit a letter explaining why their family or member of their family is deserving of $500 cash this holiday season.

(Abilene) - The Texas Lutheran men's basketball team produced mixed results in a pair of tightly contested road games last weekend, falling to McMurry 59-56 on Friday before edging Hardin Simmons 79-76 on a buzzer-beating three by Nathan Josephs on Saturday.
