Seguin invited to observe MLK Day 2018

(Seguin)  -- The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. continues to be celebrated today in Seguin. Monday is the official federal holiday honoring the slain civil rights leader. 

The Seguin MLK Day Planning Committee each year sponsored a four-day celebration of the life of Dr. King. Committee Chair Regina Lee says the four-day event is held each year to honor Dr. King's work and to also continue his work of trying to improve the lives of everyone.

Guadalupe County takes step toward strategic process; Strategic process in the works for Guadalupe County

(Guadalupe County) -- Guadalupe County is doing its part to help plan its future in a more strategic and efficient manner.  That's according to Guadalupe County Judge Kyle Kutscher. Kutscher says the county has begun steps toward approving and implementing an official strategic plan for the rapidly growing county.

Seguin ISD shares proposed strategic plan with school board members

(Seguin) -- The Seguin ISD is unveiling its overall plan or vision to provide an "exceptional" learning environment for all students. The Seguin ISD Board of Trustees Wednesday night reviewed the draft documents found in the district's proposed strategic plan -- a plan designed to be incorporated into each classroom over the next 3 to 5 years.

Seguin girls advance to Edgewood soccer tournament final

(San Antonio) – The Seguin girls soccer team came up short to Laredo-United 4-0 in the championship match of the Edgewood ISD Tournament on Saturday to cap an otherwise successful three-day stretch that saw the Matadors notch five victories and only one loss.

(Seguin) – The Lifegate Christian School boys basketball team earned its first district win Friday night with a 56-47 home triumph over San Antonio-Trinity Christian.
