BBQ restaurant again to be featured on cable network

(Seguin) -- Lights, camera, action! Adrian Davila, of Davila's BBQ, will again feature his pit master abilities during a future Cooking Channel TV show, still to be announced. Davila and his family traditions were selected for a rare full episode of this long running program.

(Seguin) -- Guadalupe County commissioners are looking to either change or clarify exactly what happens to a county employee's paycheck when bad weather or other some other emergency forces the shut down of county government.

Prosecutors discuss capital murder case which ends with life sentence

(Seguin) --- After four hours of deliberation, a Guadalupe County jury has found a man guilty for murdering his girlfriend. After six days of testimony, 32-year old Michael Lewis Arce was not only found guilty for the capital murder of 30-year-old Vivian Cases but was also sentenced to life in prison.

Seguin ISD wants to become a District of Innovation

(Seguin) -- The Seguin ISD is looking at the possibility of being designated as a District of Innovation for the 2018-2019 school year.
 
Jason Schmidt, Seguin ISD's assistant superintendent of learning and leadership services, recently brought forth the proposal to members of the Seguin ISD Board of Trustees. Schmidt says the 84th Texas Legislative Session helped to provide this opportunity for Texas public school districts. He says the designation in essence gives the local district more freedom and flexibility when implementing innovative learning experiences or educational strategies for its students.
