(Seguin) -- When it comes to protecting your child, Guadalupe County's top law enforcement official is going straight to the expert for some answers.
Thanks to Guadalupe County Sheriff Arnold Zwicke, parents of local kids are invited to attend one of two public presentations being led by Phil Chalmers, a nationally recognized author, speaker, educator and crime expert. Chalmers will be in Guadalupe County this week talking to area students. He will also speak directly to parents and members of the community during special presentations of his "True Lies" program. The presentations will be held tonight at the American Legion Hall and on Thursday at the Seguin High School Performing Arts Center. More

(Seguin) -- When Mark Weber, an English teacher at Seguin High School, completed his master's degree in educational leadership at WGU Texas he was excited and proud but he had no idea that he would be Western Governors University's 100,000th graduate. Weber claimed that 100,000th spot among all others students who have continued their education through the online, nonprofit university established by 19 U.S. Governors 21 years ago. More

The Texas Lutheran softball program has captured the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships each of the past four seasons.
(Seguin) – After a vote of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference softball coaches, Texas Lutheran University is the unanimous favorite to win its fifth consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.

(San Antonio, Kerrville) – Texas Lutheran men’s basketball dropped into a sixth-place tie in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference standings over the weekend with a pair of tightly contested road losses, 76-68 to Trinity on Friday in San Antonio, and 83-81 to Schreiner on Saturday in Kerrville.

(San Antonio, Trinity) – The Texas Lutheran women’s basketball program is in danger of missing the post-season for the first time since joining the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in 2013 after dropping conference road games to Trinity 78-66 on Friday in San Antonio, and to Schreiner 65-55 on Saturday in Kerrville.
