Several locally contested races slated for the Republican Primary

(Guadalupe County) -- Guadalupe County voters will get to mark their ballots in several locally contested races. Today is the first day of early voting for the Republican and Democratic Primary Elections. The election is slated for Tuesday, March 6. The local ballot only includes contested Republican races and not Democratic positions.

Seguin Education Foundation to add food trucks, adult carnival to annual Denim & Diamonds fundraiser

(Seguin) --- Tickets are now on sale for the 10th Annual Denim & Diamonds Gala. The fundraiser, hosted by the Seguin Education Foundation, is scheduled for Saturday at the Seguin Coliseum.
 
Katie Edwards, executive director for the SEF, says the group is adding a couple of new features to what is already an exciting night.

Navarro softball perfect in Huber Ranch tourney, 7-0 to start the season
(Seguin) - The Navarro softball team churned out six consecutive wins without a loss week in its annual home tournament at Huber Ranch, and ended up with a second-place finish behind Schertz-John Paul II due to the points tiebreak system.
