Denim & Diamonds fundraiser set for this Saturday

(Seguin) -- The Seguin Education Foundation will be celebrating its 10th annual Denim & Diamonds fundraiser by giving adults the chance to be a kid. The SEF says it will be mixing some favorite childhood carnival games into this weekend's fundraiser gala scheduled for Saturday at the Seguin Coliseum.

Food Truck Festival to include shopping, kids activities, craft beers plus live music

(Seguin) -- The trucks will be rolling in again for Seguin's second annual Food Truck Festival. Whether it's lunch, dinner or just an afternoon snack, the windows of several trucks will be open and ready to take your order in the Hermann Sons Life (Hall) parking lot. The annual event which also includes shopping, craft beers and live music, will be held this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Non-profit founded in Seguin continues its efforts to improve the lives of those in Uganda

(Seguin) -- Changing the world continues thanks to local efforts to support the operation of WATCCH, Inc. (What About The Children Children's Home in Uganda, Africa. The non-profit organization was founded by caring hearts that were left behind in 2011 following a mission trip taken by such locals as Linda Redix, her sister Pat Redix and DeCarmen Mitnaul, a 2013 Texas Lutheran University graduate. Mitnaul went on to be the group's founder and has since served as the president of the organization's board of directors.

(Colorad Springs) - Texas Lutheran's quest for a fourth consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship ended Saturday in the SCAC semifinal with a 76-70 loss to No. 2 seed Centenary College (La.).

(Wimberley) - Marion's balanced scoring attack and size in the paint proved to be more than Comfort could handle Friday night as the Bulldogs notched their 18th straight win, 64-45, in the area round of the Class 3A boys basketball playoffs at Wimberley's Texan Gym.
