(Seguin) -- The vacancy on the Seguin City Council has officially been filled. Jim Lievens was the top vote getter in Tuesday's special election for the one year unexpired term for city of Seguin District 3.

Today marks general election day in Texas; Seguin City council, constitutional amendments among items on ballot

(Seguin) -- It's election day in the Lone Star State. Texas voters will be heading to the polls to consider the fate of seven proposed amendments to the state's constitution.  A list of the amendments and what they are expected to accomplish can be found in today's edition of the Seguin Daily News.

(Alpine) - Texas Lutheran nearly broke a 43-year-old school record for rushing yards in a game by running for 466 yards on 61 carries in a 40-14 conference road win Saturday at Sul Ross State.

(Marion) - The Marion Bulldogs are district champions for the fourth time in five seasons after cruising past Lago Vista 56-14 in the battle of 13-3A-Division 1 co-leaders Friday night at Veterans Stadium.
