Guadalupe County Sheriff announces second captain for agency, promotions announced

(Seguin) -- Guadalupe County Sheriff Arnold Zwicke is officially announcing the newest captain for the sheriff's office.

Lt. John Koch has been promoted to serve the position alongside Captain Jerry Rios who also was promoted earlier this year.

(New Braunfels) -- For at least a dozen families, the delivery of gifts and holiday spirit did not arrive on the back of a sleigh. Instead they were delivered by some helpful elves who prefer motorcycles, leather jackets and the open road.

Local teen defies all odds, finds success in music, middle school band program

(Seguin) -- If the sky's the limit, then 13-year-old Christian Bertling might as well be only a few feet away.

Despite being visually impaired and having already overcome a number of obstacles that most of us don't see in a lifetime, Bertling continues to add to his list of accomplishments -- the latest being selected for the All Region Band representing A.J. Briesemeister Middle School.

(Seguin) – Wins were elusive through much of Seguin’s 2017 football season, but the coaches in District 26-5A still recognized the team’s efforts by voting 16 Matadors to the All-District awards list.
