(Seguin) -- Seguin is gearing up for its annual four day MLK Day weekend celebration. The event celebrates the legacy of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Most events are free and are being offered and hosted throughout the holiday weekend by the MLK Day Planning Committee.

Guadalupe County prepares for busy 2018; Construction projects, new departments to be part of new calendar year

(Seguin) -- Guadalupe County is bracing for what it says will be another full productive year. County Judge Kyle Kutscher says many projects remain on the table as the county moves forward with plans to build and better serve its constituents. Kutscher says thanks to planning in 2017, many projects are close to seeing the green light this new year.

TLU hosts Trinity in SCAC hoops doubleheader, both games to air on KWED

Junior guard Nathan Josephs, who transferred to TLU from Texas State in the off-season, ranks fifth in the SCAC in scoring (17.1), second in assists (4.1), and leads the conference in free-throw percentage (.892).  
 
 
Former Marion standout and UT-Tyler transfer Cami Davis is averaging a team-high 15.4 points per game for the TLU women this season.  
 
(Seguin) – The Texas Lutheran men’s basketball team looks to get an early leg up on rival Trinity in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference standings tonight, while the TLU women seek their first conference win of the year when the schools square off in a doubleheader at TLU’s Memorial Gymnasium.
