Seguin man gets life sentence for murdering girlfriend

(Seguin) -- A local man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for the March 2015 murder of his girlfriend.

After days of testimony, 32-year old Michael Lewis Arce was found guilty last night for the murder of 30 year old Vivian Cases. Arce originally was declared unfit to stand trial and spent months in a maximum mental health security unit.

Domestic disturbance turns to gun fire, man shot

(Seguin) -- Family violence has led to one person being shot. Seguin Police officials say the shooting was reported just before 5 a.m. Monday. Seguin Police officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East Donegan St. for a domestic disturbance with reported shots fired. Upon arrival, officers say they located a female in her late 20's and her 37-year-old husband.

Male shot during domestic disturbance, suffers non-life threatening injuries

(Seguin) -- Just before 5 a.m. Monday morning, Seguin officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East Donegan St. for a domestic disturbance with reported shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a female in her late 20's and her 37-year-old husband.
 
The male had a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his upper arm and chest. Both individuals confirmed that the female had shot the male once with a handgun during an argument and physical altercation.

TLU women fall to Dallas, cruise past Colorado College

Junior post Presley Stephens (25) grabbed 17 rebounds in two SCAC games over the weekend for TLU.  
 
(Seguin) – A week after defeating the University of Dallas and falling to Colorado College on the road, the Texas Lutheran women’s basketball team flipped the script at home, losing to Dallas 64-52 Friday night and knocking off Colorado College 62-50 on Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium in Seguin.

TLU men suffer second 0-2 home stand in SCAC play

(Seguin) – For the second time in three weekends, Texas Lutheran men’s basketball dropped both games in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference home stand, falling to the University of Dallas 69-64 on Friday and to Colorado College 58-54 on Saturday at TLU’s Memorial Gymnasium.
