(Seguin) -- There's a good chance that you know someone who's got the flu. Some national medical experts have called this the worse flu season on record, with dozens of young and elderly patients dying due to complications with the influenza virus.

(Seguin) -- When it comes to protecting your child, Guadalupe County's top law enforcement official is going straight to the expert for some answers.
 
Thanks to Guadalupe County Sheriff Arnold Zwicke, parents of local kids are invited to attend one of two public presentations being led by Phil Chalmers, a nationally recognized author, speaker, educator and crime expert. Chalmers will be in Guadalupe County this week talking to area students. He will also speak directly to parents and members of the community during special presentations of his "True Lies" program. The presentations will be held tonight at the American Legion Hall and on Thursday at the Seguin High School Performing Arts Center.

MHMR recognition efforts help to bring awareness to local program

(Seguin) -- The efforts, of those who have worked to meet the mental health needs of residents in Guadalupe County, are not going unnoticed.
 
A celebration and unveiling of a new plaque honoring the Guadalupe County MHMR Board at Bluebonnet Trails Community Services was recently held at the MHMR and medical facility.
