(Seguin) -- The celebration of art gets underway this weekend in Seguin. The city of Seguin is prepping its plans for ArtsFest 2018. Held the first Saturday in March, ArtsFest is the celebration of all the arts and helps to raise money for future public art projects throughout the city.

Seguin invited to annual Toast to Texas; City celebrates Texas Independence Day

(Seguin) -- It's Texas Independence Day. The city of Seguin today is invited to raise a glass of spring water in a Toast to Texas. The annual event held on the steps of the historic Sebastopol House is hosted by the Abishai Mercer Dickson, chapter of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the city of Seguin.

Celebration of Life Rally to combat suicide, promote living

(Seguin) -- An ongoing effort to save lives especially those of our area children will again take center stage during this weekend's annual Celebration of Life Rally. The event is hosted each March by Precious Life Services. For years, the non-profit organization which works to support those contemplating suicide or those families who have lost a loved one, has hosted the event in hopes of preventing suicide and bringing awareness to the real struggles found within many.

Meals on Wheels program saved; Comal County foundation takes over program let go by CCSCT

(Seguin) -- Guadalupe County seniors will not be going hungry after all and that's all thanks to an outside partnering neighbor, which has literally stepped up to the plate to ensure that the local Meals on Wheels program continues to serve area residents. Assuming the new role will be the Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation.

(Seguin) – If the Marion Bulldogs hope to extend the most successful boys basketball season in school history and keep their state tournament dreams alive, they’ll have to unseat defending 3A Region IV champion Santa Rosa in tonight’s regional tournament semifinal at Goldie Harris Gym.

(Seguin) – Texas Lutheran junior point guard Cami Davis, a former Marion High School standout, has been named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball All-Conference Second Team.
