Vendors Needed
The City of Seguin Main Street is seeking vendors of handmade arts and related items for Arts Fest 2018 that will be held Saturday, March 3 in Central Park. Applications are available online on the Main Street page at www.seguintexas.gov.

Youth Livestock and Homemakers Show Auction
The Guadalupe County Livestock and Homemakers Show continues through Saturday, Jan. 20. The Auction will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 21st at the Dance Slab of the Seguin Events Complex.

Professional Attire Donations Needed
The Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking donations of gently used professional attire for participants at its Showcase Seguin Job Fair. Clean clothing may be delivered to the Chamber office located at 116 N. Camp St. in Seguin by Friday, Jan. 19. For further information call 830-379-6382.

NARFE Tax Tips for Seniors

Texas Theater Production
The Texas Theatre will present the play, "Fences" at 7 p.m. Friday Jan. 19 and Saturday, Jan. 20. There will be a 2:30 p.m. performance Sunday, Jan. 21. LBHS Alumni/Ex-Students Meeting
The LBHS Alumni/Ex-Students Association will meet 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 at the River Terrace Facility Activity Room located on King St. in Seguin. Suggestions and recommendations for Reunion 2018 will be discussed.

Habitat Ground Breaking

Sing-Along Fundraiser
The Seguin Art League will have a 50's and 60's Sing-Along from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 at Court Street Coffee Shop. The event features music by Billy Gibbons, Kirk Herbold, Lyndon Langford, John Masterson, Gil Merkle, and Tom Townley. There will also be free hors d' oeuvres, coffee, and tea. Geronimo VFW Dance

The Community Council of South Central Texas, Aging Senior Nutrition Program is seeking tax deductible donations and volunteer drivers for its Meals on Wheels America Program. Healthy Living Workshop
The Seguin Public Library will continue its "A Fresh Start to a Healthier You!" Healthy Living Workshop series at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 29 and Feb. 5 at the Library's Community Meeting Room. AARP Tax Aide Program
The AARP Tax Aide Program will provide free electronic filing (E-File) of Federal Income Tax Returns for the elderly, low and medium income from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays beginning Friday, Feb. 2 until Saturday, April 14 at the Seguin Public Library (2nd floor) located at 313 W. Nolte St. in Seguin. Participants should bring identification and all documents related to filing tax returns. Taxes can not be filed without proper documents. Assistance will not be available on Good Friday, March 30.

"The Wizard of Oz" Production
The Seguin High School Theatre Department will present, "The Wizard of Oz" at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3., and a 2:30 p.m. performance Sunday, Feb. 4 in the Seguin High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $12 pre-sale and $15 at the door for adults and $8 pre-sale and $10 at the door for children and students. "Spamalot" Production Fundraiser

Chamber Showcase 2018

Texas Farm Bureau Scholarships
The Texas Farm Bureau is accepting applications for its S.M. True Jr. Agricultural Scholar Award, The Dick Mitchell Memorial Scholarship, the Young Farmer & Rancher (YF&R) Scholarship, the Memorial/Honorary Scholarship and its District Scholarship program. Seguin Police Youth Scholarship
The Seguin Police Youth Scholarship Program is offering a $500 one-year scholarship for one 2018 senior at Seguin High School. The application, essay, and related documents and requirements can be found online at www.seguintexas.gov/youth_scholarship or from Tricia Mayo, Counselor Secretary at Seguin High School. Items must be submitted to Tricia Mayo no later than Friday, March 2.

ArtsFest Run to Create
There will be a Run to Create as part of ArtsFest 2018 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with the kids 1K and the 5K at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3 in Starcke Park. Runners are encouraged to wear white clothing to start with a blank canvas. Register online at atheleteguild.com.

ArtsFest Market
The City of Seguin Main Street will have its annual celebration of the arts in Seguin, Arts Fest on Saturday, March 3 in downtown Seguin. Proceeds benefit the restoration of the Klein Opera House into the Seguin Art League's Center for the Arts. The ArtsFest Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Central Park. There will be booths selling handmade crafts, jewelry, art and more. There will also be live entertainment featuring the TLU Community Music Academy, Teatro de Artes de Juan Seguin and the Unicycle Fiddler brought to you in part by the Mid-Texas Symphony.

ArtsFest Poetry Readings
There will be Poetry Readings as part of ArtsFest 2018 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3 at the Seguin Public Library located at 313 W. Nolte St. in Seguin.

Annual Fun Shoot
The Guadalupe County 4-H Shotgun Sports Club will have its 12th Annual Fun Shoot beginning with check-in at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Bexar Community Shooting Range. Entry fee for a team of five is $400 and individuals is $90. Day of the shoot entry fee will be $100 per shooter. Register online at iclays.com.
