Texas Exes Book Drive
The Guadalupe County Texas Exes are collecting used books the month of February to benefit the Friends of the Library in Seguin. Books can be donated from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kitty Keller Designs located at 416 N. Austin St. in Seguin.

RAPPS Idividual Sessions

The Comal County and Guadalupe County Texas Exes will have a Texas Independence Day Celebration beginning with happy hour at 5:45, followed by a buffet dinner at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 1 at the Lade Breeze Ski Lodge located at 225 Ski Lodge Road in McQueeney. The guest speaker will be Lawrence Sampleton, former Texas Longhorn and NFL football player. There will also be a cash bar, silent and live auctions and raffles. Tickets are $40 per person. Bras For A Cause
The Guadalupe County Bras For A Cause will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1 at the Seguin Events Complex located at 950 S. Austin Street. The event combines elaborate decorated bras, and local first responders strutting their stuff on the runway. There will also be music, dinner, wine, margaritas, and a pick of the litter bead raffle. Seguin Police Youth Scholarship
The Seguin Police Youth Scholarship Program is offering a $500 one-year scholarship for one 2018 senior at Seguin High School. A Matter of Balance Class

The City of Seguin Main Street will have its annual celebration of the arts in Seguin, Arts Fest on Saturday, March 3 in downtown Seguin. Proceeds benefit the restoration of the Klein Opera House into the Seguin Art League's Center for the Arts. The ArtsFest Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Central Park. There will be booths selling handmade crafts, jewelry, art and more. Washers at The Warehouse Fundraiser
The Leadership Seguin Class of 2018 will have a Washers at The Warehouse Fundraiser beginning with check-in at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7 at The Warehouse Saloon located at 108 S. TLU VITA Tax Return Clinic TLU and the Business department will provide free tax return preparation assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. Clinics will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays through Saturday, April 14 at TLU's Beck Center, Lower Level - Room 5.
