SHS Band to host two nights of El Toro

(Seguin) -- The Seguin Matador Band is inviting you over for its grand finale performance. This marks the second year that the band will be hosting El Toro, a Matador Band Stage Production.
Band Director Stan Mauldin says after last year's El Toro event, the band knew very quickly that it would become an annual tradition for the program.

Voters name new Guadalupe County District Clerk

District Clerk-elect Linda Balk and outgoing District Clerk Debi Crow celebrate Balks win during Tuesday's Republic Primary Runoff Election.
(Seguin) -- Guadalupe County voters have elected a new District Clerk. Linda Balk, the current chief deputy clerk for the current office, was the top vote getter in Tuesday's Republican Primary Run-off Election. Balk received 2,626 votes or 51.6 percent of the votes cast while her opponent Kristy Dunn received 2,460 votes or 48.3 percent.

Engelke elected as Guadalupe County Commissioner Pct. 2

(Seguin) -- There will be a new face on the Guadalupe County Commissioner's Court. Voters in Precinct 2 elected Drew Engelke to the position of county commissioner.

Cope wins GOP nomination for seat on Guadalupe County Commissioners Court

(Seguin) -- Guadalupe County Commissioner Pct. 4 Judy Cope has won the GOP nomination in her bid for reelection. Cope defeated challenger Daniel Kearns during Tuesday's Republican Primary Run-off Election. Cope received 706 of the votes cast or 55.7 percent while Kearns collected only 560 votes or 44.2 percent.
