(Seguin) -- "That was probably one of the most memorable things I've ever been involved in in 38 years." Those are the words of Deputy Chief Bruce Ure of the Seguin Police Department who recently received the Valor Award from Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

(Seguin) -- Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The Seguin Police Department is requesting the presence of local princesses and their kings to its annual Cinderella Ball. Tickets are now on sale for the 9th annual royal affair scheduled for Friday, June 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Seguin Coliseum.

This video shows Seguin Police Officer James White rescuing a man who was threatening to jump from a bridge on State Highway 123. White was among three Seguin Police Department honored this week for their heroic actions on the job.

Seguin PD seeking community support for annual Badges, Bikes and Tykes

(Seguin) -- The Seguin Police Department is hoping you can come to its rescue with some donated dollars for its annual Badges, Bikes and Tykes event slated for Saturday, May 19 at Max Starcke Park. Hosted in conjunction with the Seguin Fire/EMS Department, Lt. Mike McCann with the Seguin PD says the event, originally known as Cops and Kids, helps to better connect local kids with emergency personnel.
