|(Seguin) -- The Seguin ISD Matador Special Services Department is the recipient of the 2018-2019 Services to Students with Autism grant. Halcy Dean, director of Special Education for Seguin ISD, said that the grant, totaling $779,050, will be used to develop the Whole Child Learning Center (WCLC).|

|(Seguin) -- The filing period for Seguin ISD board of trustee seats in voting districts 2, 4, 5 and 7 officially begins July 21. Residents of these districts who are interested in becoming a board candidate must pick up an application packet at Seguin ISD Central Office located at 1221 E. Kingsbury between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (except for July 27 and Aug. 3). Since July 21 is a Saturday, packets will be available beginning July 23. Completed packets must be returned to Central Office no later than Aug. 20 at 5 p.m.|

The Seguin ISD is encouraging parents and guardians to review their child's Spring 2018 State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness scores released online Wednesday. The information is traditionally provided to parents during the school year.|

Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch? The Seguin ISD is serving up free meals this summer in Park West, and at other locations around town. The service is open to any child, and there's no qualifying for the service.
