Lievens announces re-election bid for District 3 Seguin City Council

(Seguin) -- The campaigning has officially started for Seguin City Councilman Jim Lievens. Lievens, who represents District 3, is publically announcing his candidacy for re-election during the city of Seguin race scheduled during the Nov. 6 General Election.

Wallace plans to seek District 7 Seguin City Council seat

(Seguin) -- A local woman is the first to announce her intentions to run for office during the Seguin City Council election in November. Penny Wallace, a Seguin native, has announced her candidacy for the District 7 seat on the Seguin City Council. Wallace seeks to replace Donna Dodgen, whose term limit expires this year.

City of Seguin takes action to better protect local animals

(Seguin) -- Some dog owners in the city of Seguin are being asked to do more to take care of their pets. The Seguin City Council recently approved a new ordinance that essentially brings an end of the practice of leaving a dog tied up outside, without proper care and comfort for the animal.

Newly elected Seguin City Councilman officially takes his seat; Councilman Lievens begins his first few days in office

(Seguin) -- There's officially a new member on the Seguin City Council. Seguin Mayor Don Keil recently administered the Oath of Office to newly elected council member Jim Lievens. Lievens hit the ground running, and immediately brought up a list of items, based on what he heard on the campaign trail.
