City of Seguin selects new chief of police

(Seguin) --  The city of Seguin has named its top law enforcement officer. Terry Nichols, a 25-year veteran of municipal law enforcement, has been selected as the city of Seguin's next Chief of Police by City Manager Doug Faseler. Nichols has been serving as chief of police for the City of Brownwood since 2016. Faseler says Nichols will oversee the department and its 81 employees. He says his first day on the job will be April 22, 2019.

Seguin PD investigates murder

(Seguin) -- The investigation continues today in the shooting death of a local man.
Seguin Police Detectives say the victim, identified as 38 year old Jesse Valdez Sr., was shot and killed at a home located in the 600 block of North Bowie Street Saturday night. The shooting occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday.

(Seguin) -- The search is now on for a man who was caught on surveillance footage walking out of a Seguin Walmart store just seconds after trying to pass on counterfeit bills to the cashier. The image of this suspect, however, has gotten plenty of attention as he is also seen walking out of the store carrying a baby.
