Christmas Angel contest deadline arrives

(Seguin) -- The Christmas Angel today is hoping to pull in those last minute letters. Today is the deadline for the KWED Christmas Angel contest. All month long, the Christmas Angel has been encouraging kids 18 and under to submit a letter explaining why their family or member of their family is deserving of $500 cash this holiday season.

(Seguin) -- Letters continue to trickle in for this year's KWED Christmas Angel contest. Kids 18 and under are invited to write in and explain why they believe their family is deserving or is needing $500 cash this holiday season. The contest, which started a few years ago, is to help illustrate the Christmas season's true spirit of giving and sharing.

District 3 Seguin City Council candidates join Darren Dunn on KWED's Saturday Topic

(Seguin) -- If you live in Seguin City Council District 3 or if you just care about the makeup of the Seguin City Council, then you don't want to miss this weekend's Saturday Topic program. 

All four candidates vying for the District 3 council seat will be joining us for a look at the important issues in the only local race that will appear on the general election ballot, on November 7.  The candidates include Jeremiah Arevalo, Dennis Estes, Jim Green and Jim Lievens. Early voting in the District 3 race begins Monday.
