(Seguin) -- The vacancy on the Seguin City Council has officially been filled. Jim Lievens was the winner of Tuesday's District 3 race. Lievens will now fill the one year unexpired term of former Councilman Phil Seidenberger.

Lievens says the win is bittersweet. It came on the same day that a funeral was held for Seidenberger, who died last week. Seidenberger resigned earlier this year due to health reasons, and had offered his support for Lievens.
