Seguin Fire/EMS Department hosts special 9/11 service

(Seguin) -- Members of the Seguin Fire/EMS Department and their supporters came together Thursday to remember those who lost their lives during the terrorists attacks on Sept.  11, 2001.  The ceremony was brief, but it was no less poignant than other services held across the nation to remember 9/11.

Families displaced after large fire; Fire destroys several apartment homes

(Seguin) -- A handful of families are homeless today after fire ripped through several units of an apartment complex Monday morning. The Seguin Fire/EMS Department was called out at about 8:40 a.m. for a report of smoke at the Summer's Bend Apartments located on East Walnut Street.

Red Cross helps fire victims in Seguin

(Seguin) -- Monday's large apartment fire at the Summer's Bend Apartments has obviously left many families to pick up the pieces of their normal every day lives. As reported by Seguin Fire Officials, several units were totally lost while the others were left with heavy smoke and water damage.

(Seguin) -- A fire is being reported at the Summer's Bend Apartment Complex at 1230 E. Walnut St. in Seguin.  Initial reports say the fire is contained to one unit.

Woman sets neighbor's house on fire

(Guadalupe County) -- A woman Wednesday morning accidentally set fire to her neighbor's house after attempting to burn trash. Seguin Fire Chief Dale Skinner says the fire was reported at around 11:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of McKnight Road. He says Seguin Fire Fighters were called out to assist in the blaze.
