Seguin PD investigating double homicide

(Seguin) -- A mother and her adult son were killed in an apparant double homicide Sunday morning in Seguin.  Deputy Police Chief Bruce Ure says the murders occurred before daybreak on Sunday morning in the 500 block of East Baxter Street.

Arrest made in murder case; Body of 20-year old man found Saturday on East Cedar Street

(Seguin) -- A 20-year old local man was murdered over the weekend, and the Seguin Police Department has already made an arrest in this case.  The incident was discovered Saturday outside where the victim had been living on East Cedar Street.

Suspects apprehended in Seguin murder; Red vehicle helps to lead to their arrests

(Seguin) -- A red 2008 Mazda 3 vehicle may have been the key factor that linked tips together in helping to solve Seguin's latest murder. Carlos Contreras, the public information officer for the Seguin Police Department, announced Friday that the suspects in the death of Guamaro Castaneda-Escatel, 54, had been apprehended in Brown County just south of Abilene.  The couple has since admitted to murdering the victim under the Guadalupe River bridge at State Highway 123 Bypass.

Family violence turns fatal for local woman

(Guadalupe County) -- The area's latest report of domestic violence has turned fatal. A woman died Tuesday after being stabbed multiple times by her boyfriend. Guadalupe County Sheriff's Investigator Wayne Lehman says the victim is identified as 28-year-old Monica Gallegos.

Teen charged with murder in homicide investigation

(Seguin) --  A 14-year-old Seguin male has been charged with murder and evading arrest in connection with a homicide investigation. Since the suspect is a juvenile, his name is not being released and the information that can be provided is limited.
