(Seguin) -- Parents and the community are being invited to hear how the Seguin ISD hopes to improve the academic performance at both Vogel and McQueeney Elementary Schools.
The campuses were rated as an Improvement Required campus under the Texas Education Agency's Accountability System. District officials say school district's that are "identified as Improvement Required, must engage in the Texas Accountability Intervention System process, develop a Targeted Improvement Plan and present a public hearing in accordance with requirements."
The public hearing will be part of tonight's regular meeting of the Seguin ISD Board of Trustees.
Prior to the meeting, the district will host another public hearing on the district's PASS rating on the State's Financial Integrity Rating System (FIRST). The hearing begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by the regular meeting at 6:45 p.m.
