(Seguin) -- It looks as though District 7 residents will soon have representation on the Seguin ISD Board of Trustees. A special meeting has been called this Friday to deliberate for a potential appointment for the position.
Last Tuesday, trustees met behind closed doors to deliberate an appointment between Glenda Moreno, a former Seguin ISD school principal and Louis Ramirez, the president of the Seguin-Guadalupe County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The two individuals were the only two to apply for consideration.
A selection would have replaced former Trustee Nancy Ayotte who resigned in August due to illness. After an hour and a half, the board last week announced that it was not ready to make a decision.
Trustees are expected to again meet behind closed doors to make the appointment. Included on the agenda is the swearing in and the administration of oath of office for the newly appointed trustee.
The special meeting is set for noon Friday in the Seguin ISD Board Room located inside of Oak Park Mall.
