(Seguin) -- It's crunch time for those campaigning for a party nomination during the March 1 Republican and Democratic Primary Elections. Several local races will appear on the Republican ballot. One of the races include Guadalupe County Tax Assessor-Collector. Candidates include Daryl John and Elizabeth Guerrero.
Greg Seidenberger, Guadalupe County Commissioner Precinct 1, will also be looking to hang on to his seat as he faces challenger Wayne Lehman. Jim Wolverton, the incumbent in the race for county commissioner Precinct 3, also faces challenger George Antuna.
A pair of constable races will also appear on the Republican ballot. The first is the position for Constable Precinct 1. The ballot will include Incumbent Bobby Jahns and Jo Ann Eckols. The race for constable Precinct 4 has Incumbent Gene Mayes taking on Harvey Faulkner.
The race for District Judge, 2nd 25th Judicial District will also appear on the Republican ticket. Candidates include Ruben James Reyes and Jessica Richard Crawford.
Candidates for U.S. Representative, District 15 will be available on both the Republican and Democratic ballots. Republican Candidates include Tim Westley, Ruben Villareal and Xavier Salinas.
Seeking the Democratic nomination for District 15 are Ruben Ramirez, Dolly Elizondo, Juan "Sammy" Palacious, Jr., Rance "Randy" Sweeten, Vicente Gonzalez and Joe Quintanilla.
Early voting began on Tuesday, February 16, and runs through Friday, Feb. 26. Early voting locations include the Seguin and Schertz Elections Offices, the New Berlin City Hall, Grace Memorial Church and the Central Texas Technology Center. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Feb. 19; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20; 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21 and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22 through Friday, Feb. 26.
