(Seguin) -- The annual Freedom Fiesta and the San Antonio Symphonic Band's Patriotic Concert are right around the corner this Fourth of July Weekend. Seguin works hard and celebrates big every Fourth of July and these two events are just part of the festivities.

Freedom Fiesta is on Saturday July 2nd, from 6 p.m. to midnight, hosted in Downtown’s Central Park and neighboring streets, and organized by Seguin Radio KWED. Admission is free and Schlitterbahn tickets will be given away every hour. There will be many vendors, a kid’s parade and the band The Grooves will be playing.

Join in on the fun on Sunday, July 3rd for the final concert of the summer concert series. The San Antonio Symphonic Band’s Patriotic Concert will be at 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Downtown’s Central Park. The all-volunteer organization conducted by Alfred Tapia will play a number of patriotic songs to get everyone in the mood for Independence Day. Food, water and soda will be for sale by local Boy Scout Troop 107 to help fundraise for camping. Bring a chair or blanket and sit back, relax, and enjoy!

After the concert make your way out to Starcke Park and the surrounding area to get the best seating for this year’s firework display. Be prepared to be blown away by the biggest show Seguin has ever seen. The fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. and is sponsored by H-E-B and Niagara Bottling, Inc.

Please be aware that there will be street closures in Downtown throughout the holiday weekend.
