(Seguin) -- The weekend has finally arrived for Seguin Radio KWED's annual Freedom Fiesta celebration. The event will be held from 6 to midnight Saturday in downtown Seguin. Taking the stage will be Austin Party Band "The Grooves."
The six-piece band is known for performing a variety of music ranging from current hits on the radio to oldies, disco, country and classic rock. The band which will also feature DJ music will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight.
KWED General Manager Darren Dunn says a number of non-profit groups have also been invited to set up shop around the Central Park area.

“The music is a big part of Freedom Fiesta, but people have to remember this is a community celebration. There are lots of non-profit booths that will be set up all throughout downtown. There will be other vendors there as well. We want you to come have a good time. We want you to come thirsty, because the KC's will be there selling beer and operating the beer booth. Then there will be just lots of fun things for you to take part of. There will be games for the kids. There will be something for everyone at Freedom Fiesta. We're expecting the entire community to come out and enjoy what really is a big kick-off to the fourth of July weekend in Seguin," said Dunn.

Both food and game booths will be available. Food booths include hamburgers, pork chop on a stick, puffy quesadillas, turkey legs, fried Oreos, kettle corn and much more.
Plenty of activities for kids will also be stationed throughout the park. They include a host of games, animal balloons, face painting and The Wiggle Waggle.
For-profit vendors have also been invited to showoff their products and services. Items include toys, clothes, art, cosmetics etc.
This year's event will kick-off with a Patriotic Salute at 6 p.m. Saturday. It will be followed by the annual free Kiddie Parade hosted by the Guadalupe County Republican Women. Kids are invited to dress their patriotic best and decorate their bikes, scooters, skateboards and/or strollers. Kids, of course, may also simply walk.
Kids will be led around Central Park by Uncle Sam. Those wishing to participate in the Kiddie Parade are encouraged to arrive by 6:15 p.m. Prizes will be given to the top most patriotic floats. The categories include walking, riding and motorized.
KWED Radio will also be giving away Schlitterbahn tickets each hour throughout the event. Sign-up for the ticket giveaway is free. Families and individuals are asked to register as soon as they arrive to Central Park. Sign-up will be held in the Central Park Gazebo.
Seguin Youth Services Saturday night will also be giving away a 2016 Harley-Davidson. Raffle tickets for the motorcycle will be available at Freedom Fiesta. Tickets are $20 each or seven chances for $100. The bike will be drawn close to 11 p.m. The bike will also be on site for viewing.
Freedom Fiesta is free.
