(Seguin) -- Could you use some valuable lessons in how to better keep more dollars in your pocket? The Seguin Public Library is inviting individuals to its series of special Finance Literacy programs during the months of September and October.
Assistant Library Director Silvia Christy says the workshops are designed to help consumers make informed decisions about their personal finances.
She says financial literacy can be an intimidating topic to learn, so she hopes that the Financial Education Series will provide a great opportunity for consumers to learn more about managing their personal finances -- straight from the experts.
The educational events will cover a wide variety of money-management topics including saving money and building wealth, money management, social security and credit.
The first workshop in the series will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the library's Community Meeting Room. Special speaker, Brett Pittsenbargar, a member of The Society for Financial Awareness, will talk about "Financial Blunders - Lessons We Never Learn."
The program is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Registration is available at library.seguintexas.gov or by calling 830-401-2422.
