(Seguin) -- Here's the chance to safely clean out your medicine cabinets. In collaborative efforts with the DEA in observance of National Take Back Initiative, the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office will again be the venue for a one-day opportunity for persons to dispose of unwanted or unused prescription drugs.
This event will take place on Saturday from 10 am to 2 p.m., in front of the sheriff's office. A deputy will be on hand to take the substances to be disposed of with no questions asked. All solid pharmaceutical products and liquids in consumer containers will be accepted. Liquid products such as cough syrup, should remain sealed in their original container.
Officials ask that individuals make sure the cap is tightly sealed to prevent leakage. Syringes/needles will not be accepted. Information on Do-It-Yourself Containers to dispose of syringes/needles is available in the sheriff's office lobby.
