(Seguin) -- Seguin's night-life will enjoy a splash of color thanks to a pop-up art gallery coming its way this Saturday. Area artists will be hosting the pop-up art event as part of Seguin's Pecan Fest Heritage Days celebration. Warehouse will be the site for the first ever Dia De Los Muertos Pop Up Gallery.

Coordinating the event is Kelsey Huckaby. Huckaby says the idea was inspired by an already successful event in New Braunfels.

"I've been holding a monthly event in New Braunfels at the Pour Haus now for two years. So it started off as a pop up event where we just invite a whole bunch of artists to come out -- not just local artists, but out-of-town artists as well. We draw artists from San Antonio and Austin and the surrounding towns around here in the suburbs. We have a great time. Everyone comes out and they bring their artwork and they sell it. I don't charge any kind of vendor fee. So it's kind of a 'show by the artist for the artist,' I like to say. We have live music, we do fire spinning. We're going to be bringing a lot of that stuff over to Seguin at the Warehouse. A lot of my previously participating artists are going to be coming. Again, we have artists from San Antonio that have been signing up to come here for the Seguin show. We're expecting an awesome line up. We have all kinds of different artists that we're expecting to see," said Huckaby.

Huckaby says after noticing the Warehouse restaurant/bar in downtown Seguin, she knew that it was the perfect spot for such an event.

"Each artist will kind of have their own booth or their own table with their displayed materials. Some of the artists are metal artist. We have glass blowing artists that will also be doing glass blowing demonstrations. We'll have painters, photographers, a good little mix of everybody. We even have some people that make some candles that are coming. So some of the work will be kind of geared toward Dia De Los Muertos and Halloween and the holidays. There's also going to be plenty of other stuff that's not necessarily related to the scene. It will be fantastic as well," said Huckaby.

The pop up gallery will be held from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday at the Warehouse. The Warehouse is located at 108 S. Austin St. The event is free.
