(Seguin) -- Curtains open this weekend for what many say is one of William Shakespeare's greatest works. The Texas Lutheran University Media Department is inviting the community to its production of Shakespeare's Othello.

Arguably one of the greatest dramas ever written, TLU officials promotes Othello is "a masterpiece of revenge, deception, jealous passion, and murder. Othello’s trusted associate Iago conspires to sabotage the love between Othello and his wife, Desdemona. When presented with false evidence, Othello’s rage and jealousy consumes him, leading to a tragic conclusion."

The production will be held this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The show will continue next weekend with show times at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The production will be held in TLU's new Weston Center Studio Theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for non-TLU students and seniors.
The Box Office is open Mondays through Fridays from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The box office is located in the Studio Theatre Lobby located at the Weston Center for the Performing Arts. They may also email tludramaticmedia@tlu.edu or by calling 830-372-6849.
