(Seguin) -- Flowers and chocolates aren't the only options for your Cupid this Valentine's Day. For those wishing to get a head start with their celebration, the Seguin Silver Center will be presenting its Valentine's Day Dinner & Review this Saturday. The dinner will include a performance by the Seguin High School Theater Department. The event gets underway at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased at the Silver Center located at 510 E. Court St. Tickets are encouraged to be purchased in advance.
The Texas Theater is also taking reservations for its Valentine Dinner Theater on Tuesday, Feb.14. The evening will begin with a wine and beverage social hour at 6:30 p.m. The menu will include a spring mix salad with raspberry vinaigrette, beef tenderloin with Béarnaise sauce, rosemary new potatoes, fresh asparagus topped off with red velvet or strawberry cheese cake for dessert.
The meal will be served at 7 p.m. The dinner entertainment will feature the 1990 Pulitzer Prize for Drama Finalist,"Love Letters," by A.R. Gurney. The production will be directed locally by Pat Hoppe and will be performed by Mary Jane Windle and Frank Follis.

A local church is also making itself available for parents who might have other plans on Valentine's Day. Crossroads Church is hosting a Parents' Night for kids ages 0 to 12 on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14th, from 6 to 9 p.m. Only the first 100 kids will be accepted so reservations are encouraged as soon as possible. Those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth are also reminded about today's annual Wonderful Valentine Bake Sale for Relay for Life. The fundraising event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at El Ranchito Restaurant. Proceeds benefit Relay for Life of Guadalupe County and the American Cancer Society.
