(Seguin) -- The investigation behind a complaint made against Seguin ISD Superintendent Stetson Roane continues.
Just after two hours behind closed doors, trustees voted unanimously in open session to continue looking into a complaint that reportedly placed Roane on administrative leave late last month. Sean Hoffmann, the Seguin ISD public information officer, offered this statement to the media immediately following last night's special meeting.
"The superintendent remains on paid administrative leave while legal counsel continues it's investigation," said Hoffmann
Making the motion to continue the investigation was Trustee Elaina Reahl. Seconding that motion was Trustee Barbara Effenberger, and again it was approved unanimously.
Roane reportedly was not at the meeting. When questioned by local media, Hoffmann says he did not know his whereabouts.
"I do not know where Mr. Roane is, or why he is not at the meeting," said Hoffmann.
The board on Jan. 30th unanimously placed Roane on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of this investigation. Information and specific details were again not provided to the public as the matter is being described by district officials as "a personnel issue."
The special meeting was held Monday night in the Seguin ISD Board Room located inside of Oak Park Mall.
