(Marion) --  A man injured in an officer involved shooting with a Guadalupe County Sheriff's Deputy is listed in stable condition today at a San Antonio hospital. Sheriff Arnold Zwicke says the incident was reported just before 6 p.m. Sunday at a home located in the 1,000 block of Marion Road.
Zwicke says deputies were initially called out to the location for a disturbance. Once on the scene, deputies found the man pointing a rifle to his head. As deputies were trying to "talk him out of it," Zwicke says the victim moved the gun from under his chin and pointed it in the direction of the officers. Zwicke says that's when one of his deputies fired his weapon striking the man in the chest. The man is being treated for his wounds at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC).
The man's identity has not been released. As protocol, Zwicke says the incident is now under the investigation of the Texas Rangers.
