(Seguin) -- Forget the clothes and toiletries, Guadalupe County Sheriff's Deputies reportedly found something else inside a luggage bag traveling in a vehicle on Interstate 10.
Officials say on Feb. 28th, Cpl. Dustin Crawford and Cpl. Thomas Jones conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Volvo SUV near the intersection of State Highway 123 and Interstate 10. They say the occupants of the vehicle stated that were traveling from Houston to San Antonio. K-9 Eddie was utilized to conduct an open air sniff of the vehicle. Upon his search, K-9 Eddie reportedly alerted to the odor of narcotics inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, approximately 13 pounds of Methamphetamine was located inside a luggage bag in the rear of the vehicle.
Arrested were Luis Ramon Perez of McAllen and Juan Moreno Lopez of Houston. Both were arrested and transported to the Guadalupe County Jail. Both are charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance over 400 grams.
