(Seguin) -- An 11-month old baby boy was pronounced dead following a bathtub drowning late Thursday morning. Seguin Police officials say the tragic incident was reported just before 11 a.m. after family members found the infant submerged and unconscious while taking a bath in the family's bath tub.
The incident occurred in the 600 block of Sunbelt Road in the Deerwood Circle located off of Highway 90 just south of Interstate 10. Seguin Police Officers quickly arrived on scene to investigate. Seguin Fire Department paramedics were also called to the scene and transported the infant to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center for medical treatment. The infant was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officials say the death remains under investigation.
