(Seguin) – Texas Lutheran Men's Track & Field standouts Marquis Barrolle and Paris Foster have been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week and Track Athlete of the Week, respectively.
Barrolle, a senior, has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday. He jumped to the top of the SCAC leaderboard in the triple jump with a leap of 13.52 meters (44 feet, 4.28 inches) at the McMurry Open.
Barrolle's jump broke the school record and placed second overall in the competition.
Barrolle also improved upon his performance in the long jump with a mark of 6.76 meters (22-2.25), and he now sits second in the SCAC - only one centimeter behind his teammate Grady Shields - for the event.
Foster, a freshman, earned a first-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles at the McMurry Open with a time of 15.28 seconds.
Foster's mark broke the TLU record in the event and boosted him to second overall in the SCAC standings.
