Mats go 1-2 in Harlandale ISD soccer tourney

(San Antonio) – The Seguin High School girls’ soccer team notched a 1-2 record in the Harlandale ISD Tournament last week, opening the event with a 1-0 win over Edison and a 3-1 loss to San Antonio-Jay on Friday before falling to Harlandale 5-0 on Saturday.

Jade Ross scored the Matadors’ goal against Edison on an assist from Tempestt Flaggs. Goalkeeper Samantha Lum recorded seven saves in 60 minutes of action.

Ross also produced Seguin’s goal in the loss to Jay. Goalkeeper Amanda Atkin totaled six saves.

Seguin (1-2) returns to action this Friday and Saturday in the Edgewood ISD Tournament.
