(Geronimo) - After announcing his commitment to play college football at the Ivy League’s Brown University last fall, Navarro High School senior Will Eveld made it official on Wednesday by signing his National Letter of Intent. Eveld was a four-year All-District performer for the Panthers as both a defensive back and a quarterback, and was named the District 13-4A-Division II Offensive MVP in 2016. He is Navarro’s school record holder in passing yards and touchdowns, as well as rushing yards by a quarterback, and helped the Panthers advance a total of 13 playoff rounds over the past four seasons. Eveld (front center), who will also be honored by the San Antonio Quarterback Club as one of the area’s top players on Monday in an event at MacArthur High School, is pictured here with his parents, Navarro football coach and athletic director Les Goad, and Navarro ISD Superintdendent Dee Carter.
