World Day of Prayer Service
The Seguin/Guadalupe County Church Women United will have a World Day of Prayer Service at 2 p.m. Friday, March 2 in the Family Life Center at St. James Catholic Church. The program was written by the women of Suriname, in Northeast South America.

Lenten Lunch with Friends
The Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek will have Wednesday Lenten Lunch with Friends at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 28, March 7, 14, and 21. There will be lunch and a Lenten Gospel Story presented by Pastor Bonnie with interactive conversation.

Lenten Evening Meal and Service
The Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church will host a meal followed by a discussion/service beginning at 6 p.m. in the Ezell Room every Wednesday during Lent at the Silver Center. Proceeds from the free-will dinner offering will benefit the SOJ Campership Program. Various groups within Spirit of Joy will provide the meals.

Mid-week Lenten Suppers and Services
The Faith Lutheran Church will serve a light supper at 6 p.m. in the Life Enrichment Center (gym) located at 1326 East Cedar St. in Seguin, followed by Lenten services at 7 p.m. each Wednesday in Lent, through March 21. Pastor Jim Craver will present the series “The Seven Last Statements Jesus Made from the Cross.”

Lenten Services
The Grace Lutheran Church will continues the Lenten season with the theme, "Return from Exile - A Lenten Journey," with Wednesday services at 7 p.m. at 935 E. Mountain St. in Seguin.
Wednesday Evening Lenten Worship
The Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek will have Wednesday Evening Lenten Worship at 7 p.m. Feb. 28, March 7, 14, and 21. The liturgical Lenten evening worships will be led by "The Chickletts," Holden Village Prayer, written by Marty Haugen.

Lent Fish Fry & Bake Sale
The St. John Lutheran Church will have its Lent Fish Fry & Bake Sale from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 2 at 600 S. Center St. (FM 465) in Marion. Plates are $10 and includes fish, fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, and green beans.

Annual Fish Fry
The Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church will sell its fish plates from 5 to 7:30 p.m. every Friday of Lent .

BBQ Plate Sale
The I Am Redeemed Bible Church will have a BBQ Plate Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3 at 117 S. Guadalupe St. in Seguin. Chicken, sausage, potato salad, pinto beans, slice of cake, bread, soda, and all trimmings plates are $8. For more information call 210-422-0879.

Lenten Retreat
The St. Ann’s Circle will have a Lenten Retreat from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7. There will be a Mass followed by the Retreat in the Family Center. Joey Gutierrez, Youth Minister, will be the Retreat leader. Lunch will be a covered dish and members are asked to bring a favorite dish or dessert. Retreat is open to all women of the parish and Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Gideon Bible Study
The Hillcrest Church Women's Ministry will hold Spring Bible Study sessions on "Gideon: Your Weakness God's Strength," by Priscilla Shirer from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, March 13 through Tuesday, April 24. There will be a lunch outing following the sessions. There will be Thursday evening sessions from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15 through Thursday, April 26. The nursery will be available for all sessions. This cost is $13 for the book. For more information call 830-379-7531.

Maundy Thursday Service
The Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek will have a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 29. There will be a reenactment of the Lord's Supper, a celebration of Holy Communion, and the stripping of the altar.

Good Friday Worship
The Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek will have Good Friday traditional liturgical worship accompanied by the organ at 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, March 30.

Easter Worship
The Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek will have Easter Worship at 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sunday, April 1. There will be a pancake and sausage breakfast between services and an Easter egg hunt and children's activities between services.
Soles for Souls 3k/5K
The Sweet Canaan Baptist Church will have a Soles for Souls 3K/5K Walk Run Fundraiser at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 7 at 4140 Prairie Lea Road in Kingsbury. The entry fee is $10 without t-shirt and $20 with t-shirt. T-shirts only available with early registration. Register online at www.sweetcanaanbc-kingsbury.org. For more information call 210-709-3017
