Born on June 25th, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas to Max Cohan & Eula Cohan. After a long hard battle with Pancreatic Cancer, in her home surrounded by her family on Saturday September 23rd she spread her wings and flew home to be with her Grandfather Maximilian Cohan; Grandmother Marcella Ethel Dry Cohan Lentz; Father Max Cohan; Brothers Bryan & Paul Cohan; Grandmother Gladys Bailey; & Mother Eula Cohan; Aunt Margaret (Margie) Cohan. She worked for Seguin ISD for 19 years and while there she was known by many as simply Miss Jan. She is survived by Husband Tim Backhaus; beloved Shitzu, Mickiella; Daughter Charity Rehfeld Ybarra (Louis); StepSons Brent (Michelle) & David (Tara); Grandchildren Amberly Rehfeld & Gunnar Ybarra; older Brother Phillip Cohan; older Sister Linda Milford (Bruce); Twin Sister Annette Poole (John); Sister-In-Law Kay Backhaus & numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Neighbors & Friends. There will be a celebration of life service at a later date.
